Maxim Rehm dominates DJKM in Mülsen

The summer break of the German Junior Kart Championship (DJKM) ended last weekend in the Motorsport Arena Mülsen. In his first race on the new race track, Maxim Rehm delivered a sensational performance and remained unbeaten. With a double victory, he also took the lead in the overall standings.

As one of the favorites in the fight for the prestigious title, Maxim Rehm travelled to Mülsen for the fourth of five rounds of the German Junior Kart Championship. For the first time the 1,315-meter-long track was in the race calendar of the highest German kart racing series and promised a lot of excitement in advance.

"We did some tests on the track in preparation and were competitive. Of course, I would now like to follow up on that," said the 13-year-old racer before the start. Starting from qualifying, the protégé of Ricky Flynn Motorsport was unstoppable. From pole position, he won both heats on Saturday and thus defended his top position.

He continued Sunday. In bright sunshine and with numerous fans at the racetrack, the competition found no remedy against the driver from Baden-Württemberg. In both rounds, Maxim dominated the events and celebrated a clear double victory. With maximum points, he also took the lead in the overall standings.

"Wow, that was one of my best race weekends of my career. I felt comfortable right from the start, which was also reflected in the kart. In all races I got away from the field and was able to drive my race. Now a hot finale awaits in Ampfing, I arrive as the overall leader and of course I do not want to give up that place anymore. A big thank you to my team and my family for the great support", Maxim continued to show combativeness.

In two weeks, Maxim will continue again in Mülsen. Then the ADAC Kart Masters will be on the modern race track not far from Zwickau.
