Strong last rehearsal before World Cup by Maxim Rehm

Last weekend the last rehearsal for the Kart World Championship took place for Maxim Rehm from Germany. In Campillos, Spain, the best kart drivers in the world met for the final of the Champions of the future and used the race at the same time to prepare for the Kart World Championship, which will take place next week at the same place. Maxim Rehm was one of the top drivers and finished the races in fourth place.

"I am looking forward to the highlight of the year. The last few weeks in the fight for the German championship title have strengthened me. I feel very well prepared and want to attack fully here," said Maxim before the start of the weekend. In summer temperatures, the protégé of the English team Ricky Flynn Motorsport started the preliminary phase in the best possible way. In the end, he was able to look back on three victories and two third places. He did not let a time penalty in a heat spoil his mood.

From fourth on the grid, the only German in the field went into the pre-final. In an intense race, he defended his rank and was in the shadow of the top three. A similar game in the second race. Again, Maxim had the connection to the top drivers and kept his pursuers in check. Even though he missed the podium as an unfortunate fourth, he could be very satisfied in summary: "I kept myself in the front positions throughout and collected a lot of insights for the coming week. Now it is time to follow up on this and provide a surprise at the World Cup," Maxim summed up the events.

Already on Thursday Maxim will be back in his kart and uses the free practice sessions for the final preparation for the FIA Kart World Championship. More than 170 drivers from all over the world will compete in the highlight of the year.
